Carlos Paulo Martínez Pereiro participates in the II International Congress of Brazilian Literature
26th April to 7th May 2021

The event is devoted to the literary commitment of the renowned Brazilian writer Ana Maria Machado (Rio de Janeiro, 1945).


The online congress is taking place between April 26 and May 7, 2021, organized by the Center for Brazilian Studies of the University of Salamanca (CEB-USAL) and the Brazilian Academy of Letters (ABL).

The UDC professor and member of ILLA dictated the conference “Entre Machado y Machado. La audacia de un romance que continúa otro” (“Between Machado and Machado. The audacity of a novel that continues to be other"). Also, the FLUL professor and collaborator of ILLA Alva Martínez Teixeiro delivered the communication “Aterrados, encerrados, enterrados e desterrados: dictadura, exilio y desarraigo en el París literario de Ana Maria Machado y de otros narradores brasileños contemporáneos” ("Landed, locked up, buried and exiled: dictatorship, exile and uprooting in the literary Paris of Ana Maria Machado and other contemporary Brazilian narrators").
