Romina Pereira Trillo will present her lecture "Xulio Sigüenza, un poeta entre a patria e a paisaxe"
In this conference, the figure of Xulio Sigüenza (A Coruña, 1898 - Vigo, 1965), journalist, poet, novelist, essayist and member of the Real Academia Galega, will be reintroduced along with his writings in Galician, which have often overlooked or forgotten by critics and the public. The poems published by the author from A Crouña during the period from 1918 to 1928 - when he took his first steps as a writer in the Galician language and published the first edition of Cantigas e verbas ao ar - will be analyzed through the exploration of his two major themes: patriotic and landscape.
Romina Pereira Trillo holds degrees in Galician: Linguistic and Literary Studies and Spanish: Linguistic and Literary Studies from the University of A Coruña. where she is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training.
