Under the title ‘De luces e sombras medievais: Galiza no tempo das cantigas’, the historian Miguel García Fernández, Senior Technical and Professional Activities Officer at the Padre Sarmiento Institute of Galician Studies, will offer us an approach to the main features that define Galician culture and society in the Late Middle Ages.
Miguel García holds a Bachelor’s degree in History, specialising in Medieval and Modern History (2011), a Bachelor’s degree (2012) and a Master’s degree in European Medieval Studies (2012) from the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC).
Her main area of research is the social history of women, particularly in relation to the medieval history of Galicia, whilst also broadening her interests to include the social history of power and the study of Galicia’s documentary heritage.
