Sala de graos of the Faculty of Philology (UDC)

'Agora a literatura é delas? Espellismos e puntos cegos da visibilidade: o caso das narradoras', will be the topic of her conference.

ILLA organizes the conference that Lorena López López, teacher at the Escola Oficial de Idiomas de Pontevedra, will lecture next Tuesday at the Faculty of Philology.

Lorena López López is a doctor of Hispanic Studies by the University of Bangor (Wales), the institution where she was a Galician and Spanish lecturer for some years. Her thesis, directed by Professor Helena Miguélez-Carballeira, analysed the position in the literary system of four contemporary Galician writers: Margarita Ledo Andión, Patricia A. Janeiro, Cris Pavón y Teresa Moure. A version of this academic work, titled Ainda invisíveis? Narradoras e margens na literatura galega contemporânea was just published by Através Editora.

Besides her career as a researcher, the author has developed an emerging career as a poet, with titles such as Fase de trema (Premio Xosemaría Prez Parallé, 2011) and Coleópteros (Premio Leiras Pulpeiro, 2017), both of them signed as Lorena Souto.
