'El Ideal Gallego' interviews Xosé Manuel Sánchez Rei

Journalist Lucía Crujeiras interviews Xosé Manuel Sánchez Rei, a member of ILLA, at El Ideal Gallego.
The interview revolves around her book Cantar na Coruña. Cancioneiro coruñés dos séculos XVIII e XIX, published by Edicións Laiovento in 2017, which compiles the popular songbook of the city of A Coruña from this period.
In addition to discussing challenges encountered during the creation of the work and some of the most recurring themes in the collected songs, the conversation touches on the relationship between these traditional pieces and the identity of A Coruña, as well as their impact on today’s musical culture.
