Alberto Pombo, researcher and collaborator of the ILLA group, wins the XL Losada Diéguez Award.
Alberto Pombo, researcher and collaborator of the ILLA research group, has been awarded the 40th edition of the Losada Diéguez Prize in the Research and Essay category for his work Verso e Acorde. Relacións entre literatura galega e música pop (1950-2000).
The essay explores the connections between Galician literature and popular music — from rock to bravú, including punk and children's music — throughout the second half of the 20th century.
The work is based on Pombo’s doctoral thesis, supervised by Teresa López, coordinator of the ILLA group, and Xosé María Dobarro.
