Publications

The life and writings of Eduardo Pondal have been the subject of extensive research and analysis by the UDC professor and ILLA member, Manuel Ferreiro, including a four-volume critical edition of Pondal’s collected poems in Galician. The first book in the series is an annotated collection of the poet’s lyrical oeuvre, edited to preserve as far as possible the language and spirit of the source compositions and bring readers closer to the rhythms, tones and poetry found there.

Each poem is accompanied by a clearly organised, three-part gloss, containing the editor’s full source notes and texts: all published editions of or references to the poem, notes and handwritten corrections by the author, and alternative printed versions in Spanish and/or Galician.
