Victor Hugo da Silva Vasconcellos holds a master's degree in Portuguese Language from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, where he also earned a bachelor's degree in Literature. He has experience in primary, higher, and corporate education, as well as in educational consultancy. His work focuses on the field of Literature, with an emphasis on Materialist Discourse Analysis and Contrastive Grammar.
In February 2025, he defended his dissertation Nazón de Breogán: Ideological Positions on the Galician Language in Galicia, obtaining a Ph.D. in Literature from Mackenzie Presbyterian University (São Paulo, Brazil).
He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Linguistic Studies at the University of A Coruña, specializing in Galician-Portuguese Philology. His research focuses on contrastive grammar between Brazilian Portuguese and Galician through the lens of functionalist grammar.
