Leticia Eirín takes part in the session 'A cultura medieval á luz das novas tecnoloxías'
26th April
Illa de San Simón (Redondela)

Professor Leticia Eirín, a member of ILLA, will participate in the event organized by the Consello da Cultura Galega—in collaboration with the Concello de Redondela—aimed at evaluating the contribution of digital humanities to the better understanding and dissemination of medieval culture, in its various aspects, from music to literature, including heritage.

This event on 'Medieval Culture in Light of New Technologies' is the first in the series 'Seíame eu... en San Simón,' which the Consello da Cultura Galega and the Concello de Redondela will hold annually as a symposium on the island of Redondela.

Leticia Eirín will present 'Universo Cantigas,' the portal for the critical edition of medieval Galician-Portuguese poetry directed by Professor Manuel Ferreiro, who is also a member of ILLA. The session will feature participation from Graça Videira Lopes, coordinator of the Littera Project.

The event, which will run throughout the day, will also feature, among others, Daniel C. Lorenzo and Ramón Yzquierdo, who will present the restoration of the Pórtico da Gloria, and Antoni Rossell, musicologist and director of the Occitan Archive at UAB.
